Tatoosh Island, Washington State, USA
Located right on the tip of the Olympic Penninsula, Tatoosh Island feels the force of tidal flows in and out of the Strait of Juan de Fuca four times each day. Puget Sound and the Strait of Georgia feed about 1 million cubic meters of water per second into the Strait during low tide and receive the same flow from the Pacific during high tide. That translates into 6 trillion gallons of water four times each day.
During low tide, the outflow creates a giant standing wave between the mainland and Tatoosh Island as the water from the strait meets the Pacific ocean, as depicted in my acryllic painting here.

Miritish Studio and Gallery
Miritish Studio and Gallery was born in 2018 as an outlet for my artwork. My heated studio fills half of my two-car garage, leaving plenty of space to create art and to display my finished works. The business has evolved to include Miritish Publishing, which focuses on publication and marketing of my books.

Three years later, in December of 2022, I self-published Saturn Conundrum, the first book in the Saturn Accords series. The second volume, Saturn Rendezvous, had been in the works as I wrapped up Conundrum, so it was ready for publication in July of 2023. Saturn Alliance, the third book in the trilogy, was released in October of 2024..
